Rates are timestamped, append-only observations of what each named provider quotes — not interpolated mids. Every provider type is ranked only among its own kind, never across types: "Best IMTO" is the best quote among IMTOs checked in the last 24 hours (weekends not counted for banks, which publish on weekdays only), and a type with a single current quote shows it as the only quote, not the best. Where one figure stands for a corridor it is the best IMTO quote, or the best of the first provider type that quotes it, named with its type. Official and parallel reference prints, and quotes not checked in that time, are shown on the corridor pages but never ranked. Last check is when Modan last confirmed that provider's newest quote was still on offer.

Each provider carries two labels: what kind of institution it is, and what kind of price it publishes (official, interbank, retail, P2P or parallel). Every provider type is ranked only among its own kind — an IMTO against IMTOs, a bank against banks — and only executable prices are ever ranked.
- Why are some rates marked as reference prints?
- A central bank's official rate and a parallel-market print are real prices Modan records, but nobody can transact at them through the publisher. They appear on every corridor page labelled by type, and are excluded from "best" and from spread rankings so a published reference is never recommended as a deal.
- How do I get provider data by API?
- GET https://modan.io/api/v1/providers lists every active provider with its type, region, transfer time and payment methods; GET https://modan.io/api/v1/rates/provider?provider=lemfi returns one provider's current rate on every corridor.
